Avni Nijhawan — Freelance Web Designer in San Francisco

The Future In Black is a cultural intelligence studio at the intersection of art and technology. I provided full development for their immersive landing page, from building the page architecture to implementing advanced scroll-driven animations. The result is a cinematic, editorial experience that moves through the studio's story from declaration to conversion, with parallax effects, scroll-triggered reveals, and section transitions built to match the client's creative direction.

Bili Blanket Baby gets phototherapy blankets to newborns with jaundice — sometimes in hours. But their website wasn't keeping up with their mission. I rebuilt it from strategy through design: three distinct user journeys, Spanish-language support, simplified ordering for stressed parents, and a credible experience for medical providers. After launch, I also redesigned their operational materials, sales deck, flyers, mailers, postcards, and social templates.

A nonprofit with a decade of history and 100+ milestones needed a way to tell that story before closing its doors. I led design and development on an interactive archive, organizing years of material into a seasonal structure. I built a year-by-year timeline with slide-out story panels, animated counters, filter and sort, and a custom loading screen that frames the experience as a digital exhibit. It launched on time and drew thousands of visitors in the first three months.

The Homeless Prenatal Program had outgrown their website — it was cluttered, hard to navigate, and didn't reflect their new brand identity. In collaboration with Cultivate Strategies, I designed and developed a 30+ page site with strategic content placement, custom animations, and a templated structure built for easy updates. The redesign won an AAPC Pollie Award.

Savta is a Brooklyn-based post-production and video partner working with editorial and commercial clients including CNN, Google, VICE, and New Balance. I did full custom development for their site organized around three service categories — commercial, social, and documentary — with a flexible work archive that scales as new projects are added.

Did you know I love picnics? Here’s my old website, where I leaned into playful branding and colorful interactions.

The Stockton Economic Empowerment Demonstration (SEED), the nation's first mayor-led guaranteed income pilot, needed a site to share the project's findings, participant stories, and the case for guaranteed income at scale. I did design and development in collaboration with Cultivate Strategies organized around four key research findings, six participant stories, and an embedded press archive.

I designed and built four campaign sites for FOLX Health, a queer healthcare company. Each project had its own visual identity and custom interactive elements — from community story submissions to social integrations and animated carousels.

I was subcontracted for custom website development for Asana Partners, a retail real estate investment firm creating value in dynamic and vibrant U.S. neighborhoods.
